​This program provides safe, reliable transportation to economically vulnerable families and individuals who are referred to us by one of our partner agencies. We understand that reliable transportation in Montana is a vital component for self-sufficiency, the care of children, stable employment, and the pursuit of education.

This program is only made possible through the contributions of our supporters, volunteer labor, and partner businesses. You can contribute to this program by volunteering time, services or supplies. We are looking to partner with more businesses and individuals to assist with mechanical repairs, body work and detailing in order to provide clean, safe, functional, and essential vehicles to more Montana families. 

APPLYING FOR THE PROGRAM
To ensure that vehicles are reserved for families in legitimate need, there is a criteria.

• You must have a verifiable job offer or be working at least 30 hours a week
• You must have a Montana driver’s license
• You must be insurable
• You must demonstrate a legitimate need for a vehicle
• You must be drug-free 
• You must be able to cover the initial fees for taxes, tags, and insurance (approximately an additional $500)
• You must be referred to us through a sponsoring agency or through an acceptable reference source. 
• You must be able to afford the ongoing cost of car ownership (insurance, fuel, and repairs, as needed)

Although sponsoring agencies and third party reference sources submit the applications, Bird of Pray Foundation selects vehicle recipients.

COMPASSION CARS HELP LINE
We can't provide a reliable vehicle for every family in need of one. That's why we are working on assembling a community of volunteers to be available to offer counsel and provide information and options on how to acquire a vehicle without being taken advantage of or going into debt. Coming soon!
